Choosing the Right Frame

Quest 88 tricycles have a low saddle to keep the child’s centre of gravity low and high handlebars to encourage a good upright posture. The pedals are also placed in a slightly forward position in relation to the saddle. This helps the child to efficiently transfer energy from their legs through the pedals, resulting in more control and greater reward for their effort.  The tricycles have a low threshold to enable easy access to the pedals when climbing on and off.

A number of safety features are built into the tricycles. Besides the low centre of gravity they have a sealed chain guard to protect clothes from oil and dirt and prevent fingers and clothing getting trapped in the chain. The sealed chain guard also stops big brother doing ‘repairs ’. The tricycles have a combination brake/parking brake and a steering limiter to stop the handlebars ‘jack-knifing'.

From October 2006, the swivel saddle option becomes available which enables easier transfer on and off the tricycles and greater access to the safety belts.
